American artist Scott Listfield represents the modern day explorer in us all. Following college, Scott went travelling, as many do, he immersed himself in new cultures and experiences. His feelings of alienation, isolation and utter bewirelderment of Planet Earth spawned his astronaut, the star of his wonderfully observed artwork.
Once returned home to Massachusetts that astronaut continued to travel and experience, often with a tongue-in-cheek poke at pop culture, science fiction and our own remarkable environments.
The astronaut has since found home in leading galleries and exhibitions worldwide.
