Hidden Moves is the pseudonym of graphic artist and designer Rhys Owens. Described as “cruelly cool,” his body of work is comprised of an assortment of surreal urban characters which are created using a range of traditional and digital techniques. Experimenting with photography, illustration and digital 3D to create his own unique aesthetic.
Whilst the artist does not view himself as an urban artist or street artist, his style lends itself to comparison with leading stencil artists. Artist's like Hush, D*Face, Nick Walker, Miss Bugs are a big inspiration to Rhys. However his art has created his own army of fans and collectors with his limited editions now regularly selling out.
As well as being inspired by the thriving Urban art scene he is also inspired by all things 80's... Thundercats, the Rubik's cube and the ZX Spectrum all aiding to shape an artist with great appeal.
