Géraldine Georges is a young Belgian artist who creates abstractions of the female form inspired by fashion and couture. Her work combines photography and illustration to capture the eye and the imagination. She considers her role as one who transcribes emotions.
After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, Georges worked as a graphic designer for advertising agencies. She eventually transitioned into freelance illustration, but did not entirely break from the design world. Instead, she links the two disciplines by incorporating elements of graphic design into her illustrative work. Georges’ debut solo show was very successful, and her work is featured in a number of leading design and style magazines.
