Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas live and make art in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Peters is a self-taught artist from an eclectic family, and Olivas holds a degree in visual arts from the University of South Florida. Together, the couple create edgy-cute worlds filled with creepy carnies and melancholic misfits.
Both artists are fascinated by oddities and the beautifully unusual. Their work explores the loss of innocence, post-apocalyptic conformity and who we are under our masks. Peters and Olivas make toys and lifestyle products and show their paintings and sculptures internationally and at their own gallery, The Stranger Factory. They live with their two dogs, Bailey and Diego.
